Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; :5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. :27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. :28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. :29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Now we look back at that advent and look forward to Jesus' advent when He will take all believers home.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: :17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. :18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. :23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
Matthew 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. :27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. :30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. :31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, :29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
